Armenia’s tractor fleet rose by 0.8% to 14 683 units as of Jan 1

YEREVAN, February 22./ARKA/. The tractor fleet of Armenia included 14, 683 tractors as of January 1, 2013, which was 0.8% higher from a year earlier, according to the National Statistical Service.

According to the data, only 11, 327 tractors out of 14, 683 are operable. 

The number of agricultural vehicles within the reported period was 15,294 versus 15,600 early last year.

Only 11,610 vehicles or 75.9% are applicable versus 76% on January 1, 2012. 

As of January 1, 2013 the number of combines in Armenia dropped to 1,362 from 1,367 a year earlier. Of them 77.1% versus 73.8% are operable.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, only 1,693 (83.9%)  out of 1,971 tractor mowers were applicable. It is said to be by 32 less from early 2012. 

As of 1 January 2013 there were 2,210 cultivators against 2,138 (85.4%). Of them 1,898 or 85.9% are applicable. 

The biggest number of operable agricultural equipment is registered in the following regions: Gegharkunik (tractors– 2,163, vehicles– 2,074), Lori (tractor mowers– 370), Armavir (cultivators-350).  -0-
