YEREVAN, February 21. /ARKA/. Union of Local Manufacturers of Armenia became a member of coordination council of engineering associations of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, head of the Union Vazgen Safaryan said Friday.
Engineering union of Russia, association of industrial enterprises of Belarus BelAPP and national chamber of entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan suggested the Union integrating in the recently created council as an associated member, before Armenia joins the Customs Union, Safaryan said.
The union discussed the suggestion with directors of local companies and agreed to join the council to expand cooperation and lay basis for future joint ventures in engineering and open up new opportunities for investments, he said.
Armenia made a statement about its intention to join the Customs Union in September 2013 and signed the roadmap for accession in Moscow on December 24. –0--
