YEREVAN, June 30. / ARKA /. Russia’s president Vladimir Putin has signed a law on ratification of an intergovernmental agreement on deliveries of natural gas, petroleum products and natural rough diamonds to Armenia, Russian RIA Novosti reported.
The agreement was signed on December 2, 2013 in Yerevan. It provides for duty-free delivery of these goods from Russia to Armenia before the latter joins the Eurasian Economic Union. The agreement prohibits re-export of these goods to a third country.
Under the agreement, the volume and range of these goods’ consumption in Armenia for the next calendar year is determined by competent authorities of the parties. As for delivery of uncut diamonds, the amount is determined by agreements between businesses of the two countries. -0-
