YEREVAN, August 14. /ARKA/. Armenia will try to build up volumes of its exports to Russian and to widen their range, Armenian Economy Minister Karen Chshmarityan said Thursday at a news conference.
He found it premature to assess the real impacts of the ban imposed by Russia on imports from some countries on the volumes of Armenia’s exports to Russia.
“Time is necessary to figure out which of imported goods can replace each other, and this may be useful to Armenia’s business people,” the minister said.
Chsjhmarityan said that Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan held a special session and instructed the economy and agriculture ministries to provide every support to entrepreneurs for increasing their exports to Russia.
“I can say that Armenia exports 37 of the 57 varieties of goods targeted by Russian sanctions, and 31 of these exports are sent directly to Russia,” he said. --0---
