YEREVAN, April 7. / ARKA /. In terms of industrial output growth Armenia was sixth among several former Soviet republics making the CIS in the first two months of 2014, with a 4.1% decline, according to the CIS Statistical Committee.
It says the highest growth of 8 percent was posted by Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan reported 0.9 % growth each and Kazakhstan’s industrial output grew by 0.1 %.
Belarus reported a 5.5% drop, Ukraine –a 4.2% fall, Azerbaijan’s industrial production fell by 3.7%. No data was available for Moldova, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
According to the CIS Statistical Committee, the overall industrial production in the CIS countries in the first two months of this year did not change compared to the same period in 2013. -0-
