YEREVAN, September 6. /ARKA/. Armenia will benefit from its accession to the Customs Union in long term, if it develops its real economy, head of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia Gagik Makaryan said.
Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin made a joint statement after their negotiations in Moscow saying Armenia intends to join the Customs Union and then take part in formation of Eurasian economic union.
“I am sure the decision of the president about Armenia’s accession to the customs union was made under time pressure and was in interest of the country’s political and national security, bearing in mind growing external threats”, Makaryan told a press conference.
He also said Armenia should take also economic advantages of this cooperation in long term. For this real economy should be developed to export goods to the customs union market.–0--
