YEREVAN, February 27. /ARKA/. Armenia’s government will try to provide good conditions to its labor migrants in Russia, in the context of its membership in Russia-led Customs Union, Armenian premier Tigran Sargsyan said at a government hour in parliament Wednesday.
Armenia wants to integrate in the legal framework for free movement of labor within the Eurasian economic area, the premier said.
“We want our citizens not to suffer from effects of amendments to the Russian migration law enforced as from 2014”, Sargsyan said. He also noted before joining the Customs Union Armenia will sign two agreements with Russia to improve the status of its labor migrants. The issue was discussed in the negotiations with the Russian premier Dmitry Medvedev in Sochi on February 24, Sargsyan added.
During the talks the sides agreed Armenia will get a grant support from Russia to ensure accession to the CU is smooth for businesses. The funds will be spent on seminars for Armenian entrepreneurs, the premier said. –0--
