YEREVAN, April 9. / ARKA /. Armenian and Polish Chambers of Commerce and Industry have signed today a cooperation agreement in Yerevan on the sidelines of an Armenian -Polish business forum that has brought together representatives of nine Polish and thirty Armenian companies.
The agreement provides for cooperation in various fields, including trade, production of furniture and medical equipment. It will also help the establishment of joint Armenian-Polish companies, the chairman of the Armenian Commerce and Industry Chamber, Martin Sarkisian told reporters after the signing ceremony.
He said Armenia and Poland could also cooperate closely in production of diamonds and jewelry.
The agreement stipulates a range of activities, including the organization of Armenian-Polish business forums, round tables and exhibitions.
The Polish- Armenian Chamber of Commerce has been operating for three years. It has 80 entrepreneurs. According to official statistics, trade turnover between Armenia and Poland in 2013 amounted to $ 44.6 million from $42.6 million in 2012. -0-
