Armenian brandy production rises 43.6% to 10766.4 thousand liters in Jan-August

YEREVAN, October 3. /ARKA/. Brandy production in Armenia rose by 43.6% to 10766.4 thousand liters in January-August 2012 from a year earlier, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia.

Wine production dived by 29.5% to 2598.4 thousand liters within the reported period.

Vodka and liquor production surged by 51.7% to 6468.1 thousand liters in Jan-August 2012 from a year earlier, and sparkling wines production dropped by 38.3% to 92.3 thousand liters.

At the same time, beer production totaled 9729.0 thousand liters in Jan-August 2012 against 11203.3 thousand liters in Jan-August 2011 (13.2% tumble).

Non-alcohol beverage production advanced by 3% to 25001.8 thousand liters within the reported period. -0-
