Armenian chemical industry’s output grows 5.3% to 735.9 million drams in November 2012
YEREVAN, January 8. /ARKA/. Armenian chemical industry’s output amounted to 735.9 million drams in November 2012 (5.3% year-on-year growth), the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.
According to the statistical report, the output of plastic products grew 6.1% in Jan-Nov 2012, compared with the same period a year earlier, to 12 511.4 tons, while that of varnish and paint products dropped 9.3% to 10 035.1 tons.
Armenia’s chemical industry produced 1,786 tons of cleaners in Jan-Nov 2012 (7.3% year-on-year decline), 8,676 kilograms of synthetic corundum (24% year-on-year decline), 82 tons of caustic soda (a two-fold year-on-year growth). No synthetic rubber has been produced in the country at the mentioned period of time. ($1 – AMD 403.58). -0-
