Armenian economy minister off to Austria and Italy

YEREVAN, September 25. / ARKA /. Armenian economy minister Tigran Davtyan has left today for a four-day working visits to Austria and Italy. The ministry said on September 25-26 the minister will be in Vienna for a meeting of economy ministers from the Caucasus and Central Asia to discuss issues on trade, investment, finance, tourism and energy sectors, as well as new opportunities for economic cooperation with European countries .

On September 26 the Armenian minister is scheduled to have a meeting with the deputy director general of the European Commission for Trade Peter Balas, Austria’s federal minister of economy Reinhold Miterlehner and deputy secretary general of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Richard Boucher.

On September 26-28, Davtian will be in Rome to take part in the Armenian-Italian business forum.

On September 27 Davtyin will meet with the minister of economic development of Italy Corado Pacer, sports minister Piero Gnudi and chairman of the chamber of commerce Santo Santoro.

The business forum with the participation of about 200 Italian entrepreneurs is scheduled for September 28 to present investment opportunities of Armenia and its business environment.

The forum is organized by the ministries of economy of Italy and Armenia and by the Armenian Development Agency, as well as by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Italy. -0-
