Armenian government extends term of subsidizing agricultural loans
YEREVAN, September 6. /ARKA/. Armenian government decided today to extend the term of subsidizing agricultural loans until December 31, 2012.
Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan, the initiator of this step, said AMD 25 billion were lent to 34,300 farmers in 2011 and in this year’s spring under this program.
He said that the program had a favorable impact on agriculture, which owes its growth also to these available loans.
Armenia’s agriculture output for the first seven months of this year total about AMD 290.5 billion – 10.2% year-on-year growth, and exports grew 13.5%. -0---
