The Armenian government is open for investment offers on Nairit chemical plant, Armenian Economy Minister Tigran Khachatryan told journalists on Monday. He said that the government is ready to consider an investment offer that includes long-term guarantees.
YEREVAN, February 10. /ARKA/. The Armenian government is open for investment offers on Nairit chemical plant, Armenian Economy Minister Tigran Khachatryan told journalists on Monday. He said that the government is ready to consider an investment offer that includes long-term guarantees.
The minister, however, found it difficult to say how much financial means the chemical plant needs to resume operating. He also found it difficult to point out the figure of the plant's debts.
Nairit stands idle from March 2010. According to preliminary estimation of auditors, USD 200 to 300 million is needed for re-launching the chemical plant.
According to official calculations, it will be reasonable to re-launch Nairit only if it produce at least 10 to 12 tons of rubber every year. -0---
