Armenian ministry of agriculture sells phosphate and potash fertilizers to farmers

YEREVAN, March 5. / ARKA /. Armenian ministry of agriculture will sell this year phosphate and potash fertilizers to farmers, along with nitrogen fertilizers, according to deputy minister Samvel Galstyan 

Galstyan said the ministry will import this year 33.281 tons of nitrogen fertilizers, 2,647 tons of phosphate and 1,618 tons of potash fertilizers.

He said a 50 kg sack of nitrogen fertilizer will be sold at 6000 drams and phosphate and potash fertilizers will be sold at 7000 drams.

The deputy minister said since phosphate and potash fertilizers will be used in Armenia for the first time, the demand is not high enough. 

The deputy minister said 627 tons of nitrogen fertilizers from Georgia were already sold to farmers in Ararat and Armavir provinces and more is to come soon from Iran. ($ 1 - 414.16 drams) -0 -
