YEREVAN, January 31. / ARKA /. Armenian prime minister Tigran Sargsyan met today with head of the World Bank Yerevan Office, Jean Michel Happi, to discuss cooperation issues, the press service of the government said.
Expressing satisfaction with the process of bilateral cooperation, the two men discussed a string of issues related to "development policy measures" program.
Mr. Happi was said to express satisfaction with the process of preparatory work saying that it will include development of competition, improving the business environment, aviation, social, fiscal and environmental spheres. The two men spoke also about some issues of bilateral cooperation.
Over the last 20 years WB allocated 1.6 billion USD for implementation of 57 projects in Armenia designed for road construction, energy, education, health, irrigation, rural development, public administration and the judicial systems.
World Bank plans to release another $150 million in loans as part of its cooperation with Armenia in 2014-2017. -0-
