Armenian Prime Minister meets business people to discuss energy-saving systems

YEREVAN, June 28. / ARKA /. Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met today with members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (Employers) of Armenia to discuss a string of questions concerning the possibility of introduction of energy-saving systems in light and other industries, the government press office said.

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met today with members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (Employers) of Armenia to discuss a string of questions concerning the possibility of introduction of energy-saving systems in light and other industries, the government press office said.
The press service said the business people asked also the government to enforce a new procedure for the return of the excise tax on operating oils to companies. It was noted that the Ministry of Economy has developed a relevant document and submitted it to the interested agencies to find out their opinions.
At the meeting, members of the Armenian Jewelers Association asked the government to ignore the price of raw materials, including gold, silver and diamonds, when calculating the base tax on finished products. It was reported that the issue had been discussed by the Ministry of Finance of Armenia and is still in circulation.
The Prime Minister and the present government members approved the proposal to install cash registers in trucks of domestic producers and enterprises engaged in wholesale trade. Sargsyan said the installation of cash registers will allow companies to justify sales volumes and prices.
The businesspeople proposed also to amend the law "On Value Added Tax". The Prime Minister instructed the appropriate agencies to consider the proposal and submit a report.-0-
