YEREVAN, October 12. /ARKA/. Commerce turnover between Armenia and Russia will exceed $1 billion in 2012, Russia’s Minister of Transport, co-chairman of the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental economic commission, Maxim Sokolov said Friday.
“Taking into account the commerce turnover growth dynamics, that exceeded $800 million over the eight months, we can expect it to total over $1 billion,” he said following the commission meeting.
Sokolov added that commercial and economic cooperation between the two states is developing pretty dynamically.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, foreign trade turnover of Armenia with Russia rose by 22.8% in January-August 2012 to over $818.5 million from the same period a year earlier. -0-
