YEREVAN, September 30. / ARKA /. Armenian winegrowers have harvested around 153,000 tons of grapes as of September 30, according to deputy minister of agriculture Samvel Galstyan, who told a news conference today that last year’s output was 241,400 metric tons. He said the forecast indicate that this year’s output will be higher.
Last year local wineries and canneries bought a total of 156,600 tons of grape. As of September 27 this year they bought 93,000 tons. The wineries pay 145 drams per a kilo this year, up from 142.1 drams in 2012. ($ 1- 405.06 drams). -0-
