YEREVAN, May 20. / ARKA /. By a vote of 77 against 2 Arthur Javadyan was reelected today by Armenia’s parliament as chairman of the Central Bank.
His candidacy was nominated by president Sargsyan. Javadyan ran for the post uncontested.
Under the Constitution, chairman of the Central Bank is appointed by the parliament for a six year term.
The candidate is nominated by the head of the country.
Javadyan was first elected as chairman of the Central Bank in June 2008. -0-
