YEREVAN, April 28. / ARKA /. Austria can supply high-quality equipment to various Armenian industries, Heinz Walter, Austrian Federal Economic Chamber’s Regional Director for CIS, said today in Yerevan.
He singled out high-quality equipment for the energy, metallurgy, construction, infrastructure, medicine and jewelry industries.
He said a large delegation of Austrian business people has arrived in Armenia to look into the possible cooperation with Armenian peers. He also said that some 120 Armenian entrepreneurs have confirmed their intention to meet with Austrian business delegation members.
This is the second largest Austrian business delegation that has arrived in Armenia to seek closer ties with local entrepreneurs. The first delegation visited Armenia in 2012.
“We are hopeful that this visit will lay the foundations for a long-term and fruitful cooperation," Walter said.
The Austrian delegation is here to attend a forum on financing renewable energy and energy efficiency projects organized by the Development Bank of Austria (OeEB), Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and Yerevan-based Ameriabank.
Such gatherings are held every 2-3 years in order to help establish direct cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries. -0-
