Brandy production in Armenia ups 24.7% to 16, 448,400 liters in Jan-Nov

YEREVAN, January 9. /ARKA/. The brandy production in Armenia rose 24.7% in January-November 2012 from a year earlier to 16, 448,400 thousand liters, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia.

It also said that wine production contracted by 10.1% to 4,615,500 liters within the reported period.

Production of vodka and liquors in January-November climbed 19.6% to 8,745,500 liters.

Production of sparkling wines was said to total 331,800 liters (29.6% drop). Moreover, 13, 124,900 liters of beer was produced in the reported period (6.3% down). 

Non-alcohol beverage production stood at 38, 843,700 liters, which was 11.9% higher from the analogical period a year earlier. -0-
