Construction of Armenia’s Vazashen-Paravakar bypass road to be completed by end of August
YEREVAN, July 7. /ARKA/. The construction of Vazashen-Paravakar bypass road that was due for completion on June 30 is extended for another two months. The respective decision was made during premier Hovik Abrahamyan’s visit to Tavush region on Saturday.
The contractor and representatives of the ministry of transport said the delay occurred due to rainy weather and shelling of construction workers from Azerbaijani side.
The approximate date of the completion is the end of August, the minister of transport and communication Gagik Beglaryan told ARKA.
The total length of the road is 3,188 kilometers. A 250-meter-long and 5-meter-high protective wall is to be built as part of the construction to ensure security on the most dangerous section of the road. The cost of the project is 519.8 million drams. ($1 – 407.8 drams). –0--
