YEREVAN, March 31. / ARKA /. In 2014 March consumer prices in Armenia decreased by 0.4 % when compared to the previous month of February, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).
The NSS said the drop was mainly due to a 0.8 percent decline in food prices, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products. It said service prices rose by 0.5 %, while non-food prices did not change.
The consumer price index in March was 103.8 %, when compared to 2013 March. Foodstuff prices (including alcoholic beverages and cigarettes) were said to have grown by 1.7 %, prices of non-food products rose by 2.4 % and services prices rose by 8.6 %.
The government’s projection of inflation for this year is 4 % (± 1.5%). -0-
