Consumer prices in Armenia shed 0.9% in July

YEREVAN, July 31. /ARKA/. Consumer prices in Armenia slid 0.9% in July 2014, compared with the same month a year earlier, mainly due to a 1.9-percent decrease in prices for foods, spirits and tobacco, National Statistical Service reports. 

Nonfoods in Armenia were 0.3% cheaper in July 2014 than in June 2014, and prices for services rose 0.4%.  

The year-on-year consumer price index was 100.4% in July 2014. The index of prices for foods, spirits and tobacco was 99.2%, nonfoods 101.1% and services 102.2%. 

In the 2014 government budget, inflation is projected at 4% (±1.5%). --0----
