YEREVAN, December 6. / ARKA /. Arthur Atoyan, the chairman of the Association of Armenian Fish Producers and Exporters, has backed the decision of official Yerevan to join the Russia-led Customs Union, saying this would enable Armenian fisheries to significantly step up their exports.
"I welcome the decision on Armenia's entry into the Customs Union, because I believe that this will open new export markets for Armenia-produced fish," he said at a press conference.
According to him, today the bulk of Armenian fish exports go to Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, UAE, USA and several other countries.
According to official data, Armenian fish exports in 2012 increased by 200 tons from the previous year to over 1,400 metric tons. .-0-
