Delivery of Russian natural gas to Armenia resumed

YEREVAN, October 4. / ARKA /. ArmRosGazprom (ARG), Armenia’s Russian-controlled natural gas distributor, said in a statement that delivery of Russian natural gas to Armenia, halted earlier this week for three days, has been resumed.

The delivery was halted by Georgia’s gas transportation company for repair works on the North Caucasus-South Caucasus pipeline that brings the Russian gas to Armenia across Georgia.

The halt did not affect gas supplies to industries and households. Gas was supplied from Abovyan underground gas storage facility.

ArmRosGazprom is a monopolist in the delivery and distribution of Russian natural gas in Armenia. The company was founded in 1997. The share of Russian Gazprom in its charter capital is over 80%. The rest is held by the Armenian government. -0-
