Economic activity in Armenia jumped by 7.8% in Jan-June of this year from the same period a year earlier, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia.

YEREVAN, July 21. /ARKA/. Economic activity in Armenia jumped by 7.8% in Jan-June of this year from the same period a year earlier, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia.

The same index reported 10.8% in June from May.

Consumer prices posted 0.7%, and industrial production prices increased by 7% within the reported period.

Produced industrial goods valued at 91.9 billion drams, higher by 4.4% from the analogical period a year earlier.

Foreign trade turnover of Armenia climbed by 5% to $462.7 million within the reported period.

GDP growth in Armenia is projected to reach 4.2%. --0-
