Economic component main determining factor in joining Customs Union: Armenian vice-speaker
YEREVAN, September 6. /ARKA/. The economic component was the first factor in making the decision about accession to the Customs Union, vice-speaker of Armenian parliament and member of executive body of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Eduard Sharmazanov said, as quoted by Novosti-Armenia.
“Politically, we have a bilateral treaty of friendship with Russia, in military terms we are a CSTO-member country, a CSTO-founder country, we are allies”, Sharmazanov told reporters.
According to the vice-speaker, the Customs Union is very important and attractive to Armenia in economic terms. Not only businesses, but also the state will benefit once Armenia joins the Customs Union, the vice speaker said.
