EDMC/USAID products developed for Armenia’s small businesses to be presented Wednesday
YEREVAN, October 23. / ARKA /. The USAID-funded Enterprise Development and Market Competitiveness (EDMC) program said it will present its products October 23.
It said the presentation titled ‘New opportunities for financing small business financing" will be attended by representatives of the program’s partner financial institutions - Araratbank, Unibank, Armbusinessbank, universal credit organization Good Credit, the governments of Armenia and Armenia-based international organizations.
The event will feature innovative credit products which have been developed for small and medium businesses. Also certificates will be awarded to over 60 loan officers who have had a retraining course.
The key speakers at the event will be the acting head of the USAID Armenian Mission Conan Peszen, deputy chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Nerses Yeritsyan, head of the EDMC / USAID David Nelson and heads of financial institutions.
Enterprise Development and Market Competitiveness (EDMC) project is designed to raise incomes and employment in Armenia by promoting growth in selected value chains with export potential, with the overall goal of assisting Armenia to develop a more competitive and diversified private sector. -0-
