Eurasian Economic Union countries and Armenia arrange to ratify accession agreement soon

Eurasian Economic Union countries (Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus) and Armenia arranged today to ratify the agreement soon for the latter’s accession to this integration group, Viktor Khristenko, chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission’s board, said Friday.

YEREVAN, October 10. /ARKA/. Eurasian Economic Union countries (Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus) and Armenia arranged today to ratify the agreement soon for the latter’s accession to this integration group, Viktor Khristenko, chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission’s board, said Friday. 

In May, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan signed a treaty to establish the Eurasian Economic Union. The treaty takes force on January 1, 2015. All the three countries have already ratified the treaty. Today the countries signed an agreement to accept Armenia to the union.  

“The agreement was signed by the four parties with intention to ratify it soon,” Novosti-Armenia quoted today Khristenko with reference to RIA Novosti. --0----
