Finance ministry: Armenia’s state debt reaches $4.316 billion by late September
YEREVAN, October 30. /ARKA/. Armenia’s state debt reached $4.316 billion in late September, of which the government’s debt amounted to $3 billion 721.3 million, Deputy Finance Minister and Treasury Secretary Atom Janjughazyan said on Tuesday.
He told journalists that the government’s foreign debt amounted to $3 billion 146 million, and its internal debt amounted to $575.3 million in late September.
According to the finance ministry’s figures, Armenia’s foreign debt made up 46% of GDP in late August.
Earlier, Gagik Minasyan, head of the National Assembly’s finance, monetary and budget committee, said the country’s foreign debt may reach $3.8 billion by the end of this year. -0---
