YEREVAN, January 17. / ARKA /. An inspection of the Armenian finance ministry has revealed that the amount of allowances paid to pregnant women in the first six months of last year was exceeded by 584.7 million drams of the projected sum.
Documents to pay this amount were submitted to labor and social security ministry by the state revenue committee, the finance ministry said.
It said 6-month pregnant women were admitted to high-paid work and after working for one month they got pregnancy leaves and stopped going to work, but received allowances worth 150,000-200,000 drams.
In some other cases pregnant women worked part-time for two companies receiving salaries higher than the average salary of other employees. ($ 1 - 406.25 drams). -0-
