YEREVAN, October 16. /ARKA/. The first Armenian-Argentinean business forum will be held in Yerevan on October 17, the press office of Armenian Development Agency (ADA) reported Wednesday.
Argentinean delegation headed by chief of foreign trade secretariat of Argentinean ministry of economy Beatrice Pagliery arrived in Armenia.
Argentina’s ambassador to Armenia Diego Alvarez Rivera, Armenia’s deputy minister of economy Garegin Melkonyan and ADA general director Robert Harutiunyan are to take the floor at the forum.
The forum is arranged by the ADA together with Argentinean embassy in Armenia.
ArmStat reports Argentina has become the leader in total foreign investments in Armenia’s real sector in the first half of this year, with its investments totalling $76.1 million (a 10.7-time increase against the same period of the last year). Argentina’s direct foreign investments in Armenia rose by 67.2% to $8.2 million in the period.
Argentina is investing in air transport ($72.3mln), construction ($565,000), agriculture and related fields ($3.3mln).–0--
