First rainwater irrigation system to be commissioned in Talish of Karabakh

The premier of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Araik Harutiunyan visited yesterday the village of Talish, Martakert region, to see the country’s first rainwater irrigation system built financed by the rural development fund, the press office of the president reported.

The premier of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Araik Harutiunyan visited yesterday the village of Talish, Martakert region, to see the country’s first rainwater irrigation system built financed by the rural development fund, the press office of the president reported.
The head of the government stressed the importance of the achievement and use of innovative technologies in agriculture in general. Talish is a border village, and the new system will help increase villagers’ incomes, the premier said.
Harutiunyan also said similar systems will be built in other communities as well.
Two rainwater irrigation installations covering a total area of 100 hectares will help Talish resident irrigate their fields. The system will be fully commissioned within the next days. –0--
