YEREVAN, May 13. /ARKA/. France's RICHEL is planning to implement in Armenia an agricultural project that costs €6 to 7 million, Brice Richel, director of RICHEL, said Tuesday at the company presentation held as part of an Armenian-French economic forum.
In his words, the project is planned to be implemented with using modern technologies, particularly greenhouses and RICHEL-made equipment.
Richel said that Armenia, thanks to the large number of sunny days and the high quality of its water and soil, can occupy a special niche in the world agriculture market exporting cucumbers and tomatoes.
Asked by ARKA News Agency's correspondent when the project will be launched, he said that this depends on investors and major partners.
He said RICHEL doesn't invest, but it provides technologies and equipment and is searching for companies which are ready to invest in the project.
Leader in Europe, Richel Greenhouse has established its expertise in the glass and plastic greenhouse market, completing projects from the simplest to the most ambitious. Its technological and industrial capacity is based on an integrated research centre and manufacturing process in two modern, specialized factories (glass and plastic).
The Armenian-French economic forum was held in Yerevan as part of French President Francois Hollande's two-day visit to Armenia.
Round-table discussions focused on trade, services, infrastructures and equipment were conducted here.
The event was organized by Armenian Development Agency and France's embassy in Armenia. The Yerevan Brandy Factory and ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK are sponsors of the forum..---0---
