Government releases additional 50 million drams for translation of documents for Armenia’s joining customs union

YEREVAN, March 13. / ARKA /. The Armenian government has decided today to release additional 50 million drams to a nonprofit government organization called “Translations” of the justice ministry for translations of new documents relating to Armenia’s decision to join the Russia-led Customs Union and the Common Economic Space.

Justice minister Hrayr Tovmasyan said the organization’s budget for this year is 125 million drams for translating 10,100 pages, but it has already translated 19,500 pages.

According to him, after the receipt of this sum the cost of translation of one page will decline by 45-50 % because of reduction of administrative costs and optimization.

The government also amended the charter of the organization, allowing it to make translations from Armenian into Russian and from Russian into Armenian. -0-
