Government sets up unit to monitor status government anti-corruption programs

YEREVAN, December 5. / ARKA /. The Armenian government has decided today to set up a unit, affiliated with the government staff that will be tasked with monitoring the status of government-designed anti-corruption programs.

When presenting a relating draft decision, chief of the government staff, Vache Gabrielyan said the establishment of the unit  stems from the government’s anti-corruption plan of actions designed for 2009 - 2012 years.

He said the unit will be dealing with organization of the work of the government Anti- Corruption Council, as well as reporting on the implementation of the corruption fighting strategy and Armenia’s international commitments to eradicate it. -
