YEREVAN, March 6. / ARKA /. Greece’s unemployment rate remained extremely high in 2013 December, according to the latest jobs data.
Seasonally adjusted data released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority Thursday showed that more than 1.34 million people were looking for jobs in December, representing 27.5% of the workforce. In November, the revised rate was 27.6%.
Young Greeks aged 15-24, excluding students and military conscripts, remain the hardest hit, with 55.5 percent having no job, compared to 23 percent when the crisis began. The jobless rate among those aged 25-34 stood at 37.4 percent. 0-
