Head of commission: average inflation rate at 2.6% in Armenia in 2012
YEREVAN, January 29. /ARKA/. Average inflation rate was 2.6% in Armenia in 2012, head of parliament commission for finance, credit and budget issues, member of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia Gagik Minasyan told journalists Saturday.
“It is a most important indicator as containing inflation was a most important task of our economic activity since high economic growth depends on inflation”, Minasyan said.
The planned inflation was 4(±1.5)% for 2012, he added.
The head of the commission stressed that average wages grew by 5% to 121,000 drams, which means it exceeded the inflation levels.–0-
