YEREVAN, October 2. /ARKA/. Increase in prices for gas and electricity accounted for 2.5% of inflation in Armenia in September 2013 against December 2012, head of price statistics and international comparisons of ArmStat Gurgen Martirosyan said. In general, 3.2% inflation was recorded in the period, he told a press conference Tuesday.
Calculations by ArmStat showed gas price rose by 18.2% on average and electricity price rose by 30% in July-August this year.
In responding to ARKA’s question Martirosyan has not ruled out further price increases tied up with gas and electricity tariffs.
“It may affect about 40-45% of the considered products and services, particularly in production”, he said.–0--
