YEREVAN, October 7. /ARKA/. The index of Armenian industrial manufacturers’ prices remained unchanged in Jan-Aug 2013, compared with the same period a year before, as the average index of CIS countries showed 3.4% year-on-year growth, the Statistical Service of the Commonwealth of Independent States reports.
In August, compared with July, the index of Armenian manufacturers’ prices rose 0.9% as in CIS member countries nonfood prices leapt 2.5%, on average.
Belarus was singled out in the CIS Statistical Committee’s ranking for the highest, 6.1-percent increase in nonfood prices.
Russia’s price rise was 3.9%, Moldova’s 1.9%, Ukraine’s 1.9%, Tajikistan’s 1.8% and Azerbaijan 1.8%.
In Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan prices fell 8.3% and 1.1% respectively. No data on Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are available. .---0----
