Individual-funded construction in Armenia in Jan.-Sept. grows by 42 percent
YEREVAN, November 2. / ARKA /. Individual-funded construction in the first nine months of this year jumped by almost 42 percent from a year before to 56.5 billion drams, according to the latest numbers released by the Armenia’s National Statistical Service (ArmStat).
It said 53.2 billion drams of this amount were spent on construction and assembly work.
Individual-funded construction accounted for 21.5 percent in the overall construction volume in the reporting period of time. Some 48.8 percent or 128.2 billion drams were funded by organizations, 8.8 percent (23.3 billion drams) were financed by international organizations and 15.7 percent (41.4 billion drams) by the government.
Overall, major construction in January-September amounted to 263.2 billion drams. According to statistics, the construction in the first nine months saw a 2 percent decline when compared to the same time span of last year. ($1 – 405,52 drams). -0-
