Inflation in Armenia hits 2.5% in September

YEREVAN, October 22. /ARKA/. The year-on-year inflation in Armenia reported 2.5% in September 2012, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia. 

At the same time, the consumer prices rose by 0.8% in September from August. In January-September 2012 inflation rates climbed by 2.3% compared to the same period a year earlier. 

Armenia’s economic activity reported 4.4% in September 2012 from 2011, reached 14 % from August. In Jan-Sept 2012 the economic activity hit 7.6% from the same period a year earlier.

Inflation in Armenia is projected at 4% (±1,5%) in 2012, whereas the GDP growth- at 4.2%. -0-
