YEREVAN, June 6. /ARKA/. Investments of Armenia’s Grand Candy confectionery will total $5 million by the end of this year, the company’s press office told journalists during Armenian President Serrzh Sargsyan’s visit to the factory.
Hakob Sahakyan, the deputy chief of the industrial division of Grand Candy, said that the major part of the confectionery’s export is sent to Georgia and a far smaller part is sent to the United States.
“We are negotiating with Russia now to start exporting our products there in the coming months,” he said.
Grand Candy company has 3,100 employees now, and the company’s administration intends to create 150 new jobs this year. -0----
