STEPANAKERT, December 26. /ARKA/. Premier of Nagorno-Karabakh republic (NKR) Ara Harutiunyan met with the faculty and students of economy and law faculty of Artsakh state university and the rector of the university Manush Minasyan, the press office of NKR’s government administration reported.
The premier expressed his satisfaction with subject papers of the students at a recent conference in the university and said he will suggest continuing the contest to select the best papers.
Harutiunyan urged the students to do their best as winners will get money awards.
The premier touched upon the economic situation in the world and in CIS countries in particular.
According to premier, slowing-down rates of Russia’s GDP growth is one of the main risks for CIS, Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh Republic as it may affect economic development of Armenia and Artsakh (Armenian name for Karabakh) in terms of reduction in money transfers and goods and investment exports from Armenia.
The premier also said an 8.1% GDP growth was recorded in the NKR in the last nine months as compared to an average of 2% in CIS.
Harutiunyan said Karabakh budget for 2014 is mainly socially oriented as about 25% is appropriated for social programs. –0--
