YEREVAN, February 19. / ARKA /. The loss ratio of seven Armenia-based insurance companies from mandatory insurance of vehicles in 2013 rose to 77 % from 74% in the previous year, according to a statement posted on the official website of the Car Insurers' Bureau of Armenia.
It said Armenian insurance companies in 2013 paid 10.45 billion drams in insurance payments for 53,837 incidents involving insured cars. The total amount of payments increased by 12.6% from 2012.
The Russian-owned Rosgosstrakh–Armenia was first in terms of paid insurance payments - 3.587.8 billion drams. It was followed by Ingo Armenia that paid more than 2. 123.6 million drams and Reso that paid more than 1.396.5 billion drams.
Nairi Insurance paid 1.181.5 billion drams, Sil Insurance -805.2 million drams, Armenia - Insurance -609.4 million drams and Garant Insurance - 541.5 million drams.
The mandatory insurance against physical damage caused to other cars and individuals became mandatory in the country on January 1, 2011. ($1-412.09 drams). -0-
