New toxicological laboratory may be opened in Yerevan in October
YEREVAN, April 11. /ARKA/. A new modernized toxicological laboratory for phytosanitation purposes is currently built in Yerevan, head of Armenia’s state food safety service Abram Bahkchagulyan told reporters Friday.
The laboratory will be located at the national veterinary and phytosanitary center of laboratory services, he said. The construction works will be most probably completed by September this year.
The laboratory is built supported by UN FAO and will fully comply with international standards, Baghchagulyan said at a meeting of CIC Member Countries Coordinating Council on Plant Quarantine in Yerevan.
Head of phytosanitary inspectorate of the food safety service Artur Nikoyan told ARKA the old laboratory was located in Merdzavan village of Armavir region and is outdated. –0--
