YEREVAN, December 9. / ARKA /. Arman Khachatryan, the executive director of the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia, will conduct a presentation on the benefits and advantages of Armenia’s recently adopted open skies policy.
The presentation will start Tuesday (December 10) at 11.30 at Novosti International Press Center.
Khachatryan will present the fundamental principles of open skies policy and an analysis of competitive air transportation in the regional and international contexts.
The Armenian government liberalized the domestic civil aviation sector in late October saying that all local and foreign airlines meeting safety standards will be allowed to fly to and from Armenia without special authorizations or other restrictions.
According to prime minister Tigran Sargsyan, the policy of open skies will create new jobs, make air transport more comfortable and reduce fares. -0-
