Armenia strengthened its macroeconomic stability in 2011, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said Thursday at the Cabinet’s regular meeting.
YEREVAN, May 17. /ARKA/. Armenia strengthened its macroeconomic stability in 2011, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said Thursday at the Cabinet’s regular meeting.
“We will pursue a policy ensuring continuous economic growth,” he said.
International organizations, he said, have given a quite high mark to Armenia’s 2011 macroeconomic indicators and the government’s efforts to coordinate monetary and tax policies.
As a result, the government faced no difficulties in its talks with International Monetary Fund, and all Armenian programs have been approved.
Sargsyan also reminded to ministers that Moody’s rating agency expressed satisfaction at post-election situation in Armenia.
According to National Statistical Service of Armenia, GDP grew 4.6% in 2011, compared with the previous year, to more than AMD 3817.3 billion. -0-
