YEREVAN, March 4. /ARKA/. Prices for nonfoods dropped by 0.3% in Armenia in February compared to the month before, mainly due to reduction in prices for goods in cultural sector (5.4%), for personal appliances (1.3%), for shoes (1.1%), building supplies (0.9%), jewelry (0.9%), clothing and textile (0.4%) and for fuel (0.4%).
At the same time, increases were recorded in prices for kitchenware (0.4%), medicaments (0.4%), gardening goods (0.5%), furniture (0.6%), rugs and carpets (0.6%), household appliances (1.0%) and stationery (1.1%) in the reporting month.
Nonfood prices dropped by an average of 0.9-0.1% in February against January in seven towns covered by the survey. A 0.6% reduction in prices for nonfoods was recorded in the capital. –0--
